  • The front cover of the April 1975 issue of Texas and Southwest Hotel-Motel Review featuring President Philip G. Hoffman standing in between James Taylor, first dean of Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, and Barron Hilton at a ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the college (then called Continuing Education and Conrad Hilton School) at University of Houston. Philip G. Hoffman was the fifth president of the University of Houston, from September 1961 to 1977 and first president of the UH System from 1977 to 1979. He was also UH Vice President and Dean of Faculties from 1957 to 1961.
